French WWI Huet & Co. Military 8X Binoculars with Original Straps & Case c. 1914
We are offering this fine pair WWI French Huet et Cie. Binoculars that come with their original leather straps and case. They are 8x30 strength and carry the MG military marking and have the range finder Vernier in the right lens. I have owned this fine set of binoculars for at least 25 years.
They are in great condition with good clear optics. They are marked EXTRA / LUMINEUSE / 8X on the left prism and HUET PARIS on the right prism. The objective end of one prism housing is marked MG / A.
Huet was an optical firm that began in business in 1892 and made instruments for the French military during WWI. The underside of the case lid also has the Huet brand and address in Paris.
