A little history about company KOMZ (???? The company Kazanskij optical-mechanical plant (KOMZ) started up in 1939 in Kazan' (Russia).
This plant is famous for its high quality optical devices. KOMZ is the parent enterprise for the development and serial production of daytime observation equipment. The most popular binoculars are middle magnification - 6x, 7x, 8x.BI8Mx30 by KOMZ (Soviet Russia) is a prism split focus binoculars with goniometric mesh to determine the distance to an object based on known dimensions. This binocular additionally has a special light-sensitive translucent screen, which makes it possible to observe infrared light sources at night. In the daytime, when the screen is turned off, BI8Mx30 binoculars can be used in the same way as standard B8x30 binoculars.
