Witnesses of war captured russian army monoculars BT-1 7x50

I bring to your attention the Russian army monoculars BT-1 7x50, which were received by soldiers of the 124th separate territorial defense brigade (124 OBrTRO) in autumn of 2023 as a result of the capture of a Russian group of military personnel near Kherson (southern Ukraine). It is of collectible interest and can also be used for its intended purpose. Optics without separation, haze, scratches. Inside is micro points of dust but don't effect on view. Optical surfaces have a no lose purple phase-correcting coating for crystal clear images.

An aiming reticle is installed in the eyepiece. You can judge the external condition from the photo and video. In most cases, Russian soldiers use modern, cheap Chinese disposable binoculars, which are not of collectible interest, but there are rare exceptions, this monoculars are one of them. Judging by the markings, this monocular was released in 1961 at the Geodesy plant (Moscow, Russia). On the decorative cover of the prism block there is an inscription made by hand by the Russian military: KVN.

This monocular is designed for observing dynamic scenes where fast movements occur and objects need to be tracked at varying distances. Thanks to its excellent depth of field, it does this job very well. Judging by the existing cross-shaped reticle, this monocular was intended for installation on military equipment or use in small anti-aircraft artillery. The body has a glass-covered hole for illuminating the reticle at night (for example, with a small flashlight or a flame from a lighter). In any case, all parcels are delivered.

The item is carefully packed according to all rules (usually in bubble wrap and a cardboard box) to avoid damage during transportation.
